Oblivious Gregg could barely notice David’s transformation into the Spaceman. He was probably too busy picking his nose. Gregg gravitated toward David in their first year of University; David bought the milk and Gregg made the brews. He never washed up though. Until now Gregg’s acting work has been limited. He works nights at a bar so isn’t around the flat much to see David lose his grip on reality. The Acting Coach cannot reach Gregg in the same way as David, perhaps because he was dropped on his head as a child.

I am the actor...
Callum Taylor is a Northern based actor who has just completed three years of training at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston. With a background largely in theatre, ‘The Space Inside Us’ is Callum’s biggest film project to date. Callum’s proudest achievement so far in his career is representing Lance Corporal Conrad Earnest Brooke in the National Theatre’s commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of the Somme – ‘We’re Here Because We’re Here’. Other credits include Father Karolyi in ‘Pentecost’, Franny in ‘Balm in Gilead’ and Dennis in ‘Let The Eat Jam’.
...I am the character
Before the events of the film, David was outgoing and sociable. He has, however, always been serious about his acting. Headstrong David met Gregg in their first year at University. In the same halls, they forged a friendship, despite the differences in personality. Though David is neat and tidy, he could always keep up with Gregg on a night out. But after encountering The Acting Coach, David’s life changed forever. Her hypnotic pull tapped into David’s obsession with success; to be the best in his field. David became easy to manipulate, and soon transformed into the sinister Spaceman.

Shot in the 1980s, “Method Acting 101” stars The Acting Coach. There is no record of her real name, or indeed anything about the crew or shooting of the film. Glitches in the tape reveal behind the scenes arguments between The Acting Coach and the cameraman, and additional footage shows her playing piano and writing on a board. The boys came across the VHS at a car-boot sale. Gregg had just sold his prized McDonald’s coke glass collection to pay rent when he saw the cassette with a ten-pence sticker. The lady who sold it said she had no cause to use it, and wanted rid as it gave her the creeps.
